- Before buying anything, make sure you really need it and that it aligns with your anti-consumerist standards.
- Recognize your time, energy, and resources, and instead of wasting them on consumerist concepts, dedicate them to items 3 and 5.
- Build simple-living habits for yourself. If you fully believe in these habits, over time others will respect your simple-living lifestyle and choices.
- Review your needs and desires multiple times and highlight only the essential and non-negotiable ones, making purchases based on those.
- Stay away from social media. Life existed before it and will continue without it.
